While you shouldn’t miss a stroll on one of Lincoln City’s expansive beaches, you may to try something more unconventional too. Why not take in a class at the Culinary Center in Lincoln City and make a tasty holiday gift?

Choose and prepare a delightful culinary treat under the supervision of an amazing chef and instructor. Blackberry jam, special seasoning, homemade crackers, and chocolate chip cookie dough truffles are just a few of your choices. Come early for a light breakfast. Register to avoid disappointment.

Burn Calories Before Thanksgiving Dinner

Instead of packing on the pounds, why not burn a bunch of calories beforehand? The inaugural Huffin’ for the Stuffin’ Turkey Trot race is for everyone from 4 and up. Choose either or 5k or 10k course. Kids run on a fun course within a parking lot.

Participants are asked to bring canned goods for donation during the holiday season. You do need to pre-register as the race limit is 400 participants.

Lincoln City Gets Outside

Opt Outside on Black Friday began as a marketing strategy, but it resonated with so many people it’s now embraced across the nation. It encourages people to skip the shopping and choose the outdoors instead.

As part of the program, the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife offers free fishing, crabbing, and clamming anywhere along the Oregon Coast in open areas without a license. Just check their website for locations and enjoy!

Usher In The Holidays

Yes, it’s that time of the year again and what better way to usher in the holidays than with Christmas lights, music, Santa, and goodies?

Carols and shopping start at noon, followed by a make-and-take ornament workshop for kids between 2pm and 5pm. At 5pm you’ll see the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony and listen to carols with the Sweet Adelines. Santa arrives at 5:30pm and cider, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies are available as long as they last.

This free event offers the perfect opportunity to pick up unique handmade gifts or items to dress your home for the holidays. Choose from candles, glass treasures, textiles, jewelry, and more. Meet the artists and help the Cultural Center with their worthwhile endeavors.
