This small, family owned winery opened in 1997 as a “micro-winery” at the Inn at Otter Crest. Richard Cutler’s first vintage Flying Dutchman Pinot Noir won a medal at the 1999 Oregon State Fair, and he and wife Danielle have been going strong ever since. They draw on the grapes grown on five warmer Oregon Vineyards to craft unforgettable wines for the most discerning palate. They offer Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot Reserve, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir Blush, and two tasty sweet wines - Raspberry Mist and Coastal Blackberry.

The Flying Dutchman’s prestigious location is worthwhile in itself. Straddling Otter Point and across the street from the unforgettable Devil’s Punchbowl, it offers spectacular views and a one-of-a-kind winery picnic area. You can savor a unique vintage out of the wind and enjoy a panoramic view of the basalt outcropping at Cape Foulweather, tidal pools, and sandy beaches. It’s the perfect location for a wedding reception or small music event with room for up to 50 people.
