The Blackfish Cafe is a funky local restaurant that features fresh seafood, and seasonal, local vegetables. Rob Pounding was the Executive Chef at Salishan Lodge and won the AAA 4 Diamond, Mobil 4 Star, and DiRona Awards. It was the only restaurant in Oregon to do so. He struck out on his own and opened the Blackfish Café in 1999.
Rob sources his food from market gardeners, farmers, and fisherman on the Oregon Coast. He was one of NW magazines’ top ten chefs and won medals in culinary competitions in Canada, Asia, Europe, and throughout the U.S.
The Blackfish is well-recognized for their clam chowder, rockfish and lamb shank. They also have an amazing wine list which showcases Pacific Northwest wines and other non-conventional varietals.
Food doesn’t get any fresher than this. The Blackfish Café offers Pacific coast fare at its best.
